Compactors – CASE Compaction Equipment
We carry CASE asphalt and soil compaction equipment in three series of vibratory rollers – double drum, single drum and pneumatic tire. Compactors at the right time for the right job.
UNRIVALED LEVEL OF GRADEABILITY
D Series rollers are able to compact while holding an industry-leading grade of up to 67%*. It’s made possible by the low center of gravity resulting from our axle-free design, which allows the engine to sit lower, helping hold the drum to the ground.
*67% gradeability is achieved on the SV212D model only
HYDROSTATIC DRIVE SYSTEM
All D Series rollers use three separate hydrostatic motors to drive the drum and each rear wheel. By eliminating the rear axle, the engine sits lower between the tires, making it more accessible and minimizing hood height for greater visibility.
BEST-IN-CLASS CENTRIFUGAL FORCE
Higher lifts, deeper depths and fewer passes – get the job done quicker, thanks to having the highest centrifugal forces of their class. You can even use a smaller, more fuel-efficient CASE machine to achieve compaction equal to that of a larger class, reducing your cost of ownership.
THE DRUM MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
CASE roller drums are designed inside and out for superior performance, straighter travel and a smoother ride. Weight is evenly distributed throughout the drum to help reduce drift and maintain constant compaction during each rotation, while a heavy-duty rubber iso-mount enhances comfort by keeping vibrations from spreading to the machine.
IDEAL WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
The D Series offers a weight distribution of 40% in the rear and 60% in the front. The heavier front end enhances compaction forces and reduces the risk of the drum “jumping” off the ground.
SUPERIOR WATER SYSTEM
Water plays a crucial role in preventing surface damage and keeping rollers clean. That’s why every component of DV rollers’ spray system is built to be the best.
- Triple Filtration – Filters at the tank, pump and nozzles help prevent spray-stopping clogs and prolong component life
- Pressurization – Maintains even water flow to all nozzles regardless of grade
- Standard Back-Up Pump – Ensures uninterrupted production with primary and back-up pumps
- Multiple Water Settings – Matches water pressure to the job at hand
- Dual Fill Ports – Offers convenient access from either side
The CASE high-frequency option features a low amplitude setting that is ideal for thin-layer asphalt compaction at faster speeds. Thinner layers of asphalt tend to cool quicker and use smaller aggregates that can be crushed if too much force is applied. This option increases the versatility of the DV209D and DV210D by increasing the range of applications and asphalt mixes on which they can be used.
CASE large DV rollers come standard with a hydraulically adjustable “crab steering” system that can offset the rear drum. In addition to that, a heavy-duty, roller-style articulation joint allows the machine to oscillate +/-10° to maintain drum-to-ground contact. Together, these features enable superior operation around corners, over bumps or dips, and in confined areas.
